Traditional Reiki

Traditional Reiki is an ancient Tibetan knowledge for healing and self-healing, a way towards self-awareness and spiritual development. The roots of Traditional Reiki have been found in the ancient Tibetan sutras by the Japanese Mikao Usui in the middle of the 19th century. In Japanese Reiki means Universal Life Energy - energy which penetrates in everything and everywhere. It concentrates in the energy centers (chakras) of the body and can be directed at healing, recovery and balancing of the overall body energy. Unwanted side or negative effects are impossible because the people practicing Reiki are only instruments. Even the greatest Traditional Reiki teacher is just an instrument. A person does not need to have any talents or gifts to work with Reiki. This system is distinguished by the initiations (tunings) which the volunteer receives from a qualified teacher. In Traditional Reiki there are three stages of development. The first one gives the opportunity to work on the spot and the person starts on the road to becoming aware of his/her life. The second stage involves the student in higher Reiki levels. The initiation in the second stage tunes the student to the energy symbols which gives the opportunity to work from a distance, on a given situation, etc. The third stage is an original vocation and is divided into two parts according to the readiness of the volunteering student.

Traditional Reiki tuning is a kind of spiritual dedication. During this ritual the teacher passes sacral knowledge to his/her student, the reception of which is impossible through words or other verbal means. After this tuning (for up to 30 min.) the person may start using the Reiki energy for himself/herself or for other people. However, we must not forget that what we are receiving literally for minutes has been obtained by Mikao Usui for 10 years filled with great difficulties in search for the ancient manuscripts in India, China, Tibet and other countries, and after he found them he performed a 21-day uninterrupted meditation in order to return this divine knowledge to humanity. We must always be filled with gratitude for the privilege to use Traditional Reiki.
